צוּר
tsur
TSOOR
rock, cliff, boulder
Where it comes from
Two words are translated rock. Sela is a cliff you hide in; tsur is a mass you stand on. Moses uses tsur in his last song, and the emphasis is not shelter but reliability — the ground under you does not move.
