What the Lexicon is

Every Hebrew and Greek word behind the Bible, searchable in plain English. You do not need the alphabet and you do not need a Strong’s number, though both work if you have them. Type a meaning — shepherd, covenant, breath, mercy — and it will find the word itself, show you what it means, how it is said, and every verse it occurs in.

Why the original words matter

English has one word where Hebrew has three, and three where Greek has one. The word translated love in one verse is not always the same word as the love in the next. Looking at what is underneath does not make you a scholar, and it is not meant to. It slows you down over a verse you thought you already knew.

How to use it

Search by meaning, by spelling, or by number. Filter to Hebrew or Greek, or leave it on both. Every entry lists the verses that use the word, and every verse links straight into the reader at that chapter, so you can see it in place rather than on its own.
