יִרְאֶה
yireh
yeer-EH
he will see, he will provide
Where it comes from
Yireh is a form of raah, to see. Jehovah-jireh does not mean the LORD will supply. It means the LORD will see to it. Provision in Hebrew begins with God looking, and Abraham names the mountain after the looking rather than the ram.
