חֲזַק
chazaq
khah-ZAHK
be strong, take hold, grow firm
Where it comes from
Chazaq means to grip and to be gripped. It is used for a strong hand, a firm grasp, and for growing bold. Joshua is told it four times in one chapter, which suggests he needed telling, and that being told is part of how it happens.
