nasa

na-SAH

to lift, to carry, to bear away

Where it comes from

To lift the eyes, to carry a load, to bear away sin — all one verb. Forgiveness in Hebrew is something carried off, not something waved away.

Genesis 24:63

And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
