מַלְאָךְ
malak
mal-AHKH
messenger, angel
Where it comes from
A malak is anyone sent — the word is used of human envoys as often as heavenly ones. It says nothing about wings. It says everything about being under orders. Jacob, blessing his grandsons, calls this one the Angel which redeemed me.

Genesis 48:16
The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
