חַיָּה

chayah

khah-YAH

to live, to revive, to be kept alive

Where it comes from

The verb can mean to come back to life as easily as to be alive. Eve is named from it — the mother of all living — immediately after the sentence of death.

Ezekiel 37:5

Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.
