Christ is enough
Paul and Timotheus to a church Paul had not planted, dealing with teaching that added extra requirements on top of Christ — special knowledge, angel worship, festivals, and a long list of things not to touch or taste. His answer is not to argue point by point but to make Christ so large that the additions look absurd. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature, by whom all things were created and in whom all things hold together. In Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily, and ye are complete in Him.
