About this psalm
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The earth is removed, the mountains are carried into the sea, and the psalm says therefore will not we fear. Then a river, quietly, in the middle of it. Then the famous command, which is not advice for a busy life but an order given to raging nations: Be still, and know that I am God. Luther built A Mighty Fortress on this psalm.
