How a hundred and twenty became everywhere

The same writer's second volume, addressed to the same Theophilus, picking up where the gospel stopped. The Spirit falls at Pentecost, Peter preaches, and three thousand are added in a day. From there the church spreads outward under pressure rather than in spite of it: Stephen is stoned, the believers scatter, and the gospel goes with them. Then the enemy becomes the missionary — Saul is knocked down on the Damascus road and spends the rest of the book on ships and roads across the empire. It ends with Paul under house arrest in Rome, preaching to anyone who visits.
