The passage

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

About this woodcut

A rider comes out of the cloud on a white horse, crowned, sword out. An angel above him drives a blade downward. Below, the beast and the dragon are falling away into the lower corner among broken armour, and a mass of cavalry streams in from the right.

It is drawn as a cavalry charge from above, with the sky as the ground. The rider does not look at the beast. Everything about the composition says the outcome is not in question, which is a hard thing to draw and the reason this plate works.
