91
Psalm 91 · Book Four
About this psalm
No title and no named author, and one of the most quoted psalms in the world. Shelter language runs all the way through — a secret place, a shadow, feathers, wings, a shield and buckler. It is also the psalm Satan quoted at the temptation of Jesus, which is worth knowing: promises can be picked up and used wrongly. It closes with God himself speaking.
