About this psalm
Eight verses, and God is on his feet in the middle of the assembly, indicting the judges. How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? What he tells them to do is specific: defend the poor and fatherless, do justice to the afflicted and needy, rid them out of the hand of the wicked. Jesus quotes its sixth verse in John.
