Psalm 79 · Book Three · Asaph
A Psalm of Asaph.
The Hebrew title · Berean Standard Bible
About this psalm
Written with the city in ruins: they have laid Jerusalem on heaps, the dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven. Asaph asks how long, and he asks God to remember not former iniquities against them. The request underneath all of it is for the nations to stop being able to say, Where is their God?
