About this psalm
The word only carries this psalm; it comes back again and again. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. It looks squarely at what else people lean on — oppression, robbery, riches that increase — and says men of low degree and men of high degree are both lighter than vanity.
