149
Psalm 149 · Book Five
About this psalm
Praise with a sword in it. The saints sing aloud upon their beds, and the psalm speaks of the high praises of God in their mouth and a two-edged sword in their hand. It is an uncomfortable psalm and an honest one about what God’s judgement means. Its gentlest line is at the start: the LORD taketh pleasure in his people.
